Sahaja Yoga Meditation, a registered non-profit society in Singapore, offers free meditation programs e.g. workshops and regular classes, to schools and community clubs across Singapore.

Program Aim 

Fun, interactive and inspirational program aims to teach young children (general age between 5 to 12 years) life's lesson through entertaining activities like storytelling, arts & craft, music and games along with meditation to reduce restlessness and improve concentration.

Children are the best candidate for meditation because they are simple, joyful, spontaneous and in the present. Children are losing all these qualities with the pressure from the modern society and demands, and they need some time to just close eyes, sit relax, concentrate within and get recharge as much as adults.

As an example, one of the most common childhood disorder is Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), symptoms include difficulty staying focused and over-activity. Sahaja Yoga Meditation helped children to overcome ADHD without medication.


 

Program Structure

A typical program typically runs over one session for 60mins. Sahaja Yoga Meditation techniques are easy to learn and practice; no physical exercises, postures or special clothing is required. Similar programs are conducted in different parts of the world.

Programs are usually run in school classrooms and community club meeting rooms with no change required in logistics, and as well regular classes are run in Sahaja Yoga Meditation center.

Parents and school teachers are also welcome to join the meditation program for children.
